A few tips on the  Stx 2.3, Stx 2.1, Stx 1.9 bridles

The new Cavaliers du Ciel kite bridles are equipped with an adjustment device at each connection point. You can easily change the length of each bridle line as needed without having to dismantle the rest.  The standard bridle has been tested by Cavaliers du Ciel pilots, but since all pilots have their own preferences, we have made it easy to adjust.

Because each knot is self-locking, you can just slide it to lengthen or shorten a bridle line. When you buy the kite, feel free to ask your dealer to give you the first lesson and details.

A1–B1–C1: These are the self-locking knots that can be moved to adjust the length of each bridle line.

A–B–C: At these points, the bridle lines can slide through the loops when you relax them.

For example, to decrease the length of line E2–O, slide the self-locking knot B1 inward, relax knot B, readjust B–B1, and retighten knot B.

Note: To increase or decrease the line length by 4 cm (1.6 inches), slide the self-locking knots 8 cm (3.2 inches).

O and D: Slide O upward to make the kite pull less in strong wind or to improve precision. You can adjust D for similar effects.

F–F1: This is an extra line to prevent the bridle lines from snagging on the end of the spine. Tighten the knots so that the line doesn’t slip, and leave the line a little slack.

The STX 2.3 comp and Standard are delivered with a “Standard” bridle that provides a good balance between tricks and precision. This bridle will allow you to easily become familiar with the kite. When you are comfortable with all of it’s flight characteristics; you can try the more radical “comp” bridle settings, which allow you to explore the STX  2.3’s full range of advanced tricks
